Lowcountry Hurricane Protection & Shutter’s accordion has been thoroughly tested to meet the requirements of ASTM E 1886, E1996, as well as meeting the state building code requirements. Our accordion shutters are made up of powder-coated extruded aluminum slats that glide in and out of the fastened track on the top and bottom of the opening. When in the closed position, accordion shutters lock tight with a stainless steel thumb-turn lock to protect against high-velocity winds. These shutters have been tested to withstand the force of a Category 5 Hurricane.
Our Rated Louvered Colonial Shutters are a Croci North America product manufactured in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. These Colonials meet the new ASTME 1996/1886 building code standard in addition to meeting the Florida Building Commission testing requirements. The shutters and will be powder coat painted the color of your choice. We can arrange for these shutters to lock from inside, eliminating the need for ladders. All hardware to be stainless steel.
