Protection

     Lowcountry Hurricane Protection & Shutter's accordion has been thoroughly tested to meet the requirements of ASTM E 1886, E1996, as well as meeting the Florida Building Code requirements.  Our accordion shutters are made up of powder coated extruded aluminum slats that glide in and out of the fastened track on the top and bottom of the opening. When in the closed position, accordion shutters lock tight with a stainless steel thumb-turn lock to protect against high velocity winds.  These shutters have been tested to withstand the force of a category 5 hurricane. 

Security

     Accordion shutters are a great deterrent to crime  with no easy entry points.  When fully closed and locked with the stainless steel thumb-turn lock from the inside of the opening, the shutter becomes a physical barrier to intruders.
